Gov. Rick Snyder (R-MI) is the lastest governor to endorse Mitt Romney for president, according to mutliple reports Wednesday night. Polls show Romney behind Rick Santorum in the state where Romney grew up, though Romney supporters are confident those numbers will turn around in the final push to the Feb. 28 primary.
Snyder’s backing is a sign that the Michigan establishment will stay behind Romney as the primary approaches. But Romney enjoyed the support of South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) in the run up to that state’s primary, which he lost to Newt Gingrich.
