Friday is Michael Isikoff’s last day as NBC News’s national investigative correspondent, according to TVNewser.

“Michael has done terrific work for NBC News on stories ranging from revealing which government official leaked the US Stuxnet virus attack on Iran’s nuclear program to a groundbreaking examination of the Obama Administration drone strike program,” Richard Esposito, senior executive producer for NBC News’ Investigative Unit, told the website. “We’re grateful for all he’s done and wish him the very best.”

Isikoff joined NBC News in 2010, after 16 years at Newsweek.

Isikoff confirmed the news to The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple.

“I had a good ride at NBC and I’m glad I did this,” he told Wemple. “But it’s fair to say there was a mutual agreement that this was a situation was no longer working out.”
