Fox News executive vice president Michael Clemente, who runs the network’s news operations, was fired from the network, a Fox source confirmed Tuesday.
A Fox News source told TPM his departure is not related to allegations of sexual harassment that have rocked the network in recent weeks.
Clemente, who was tasked with supervising long-form specials, is leaving the network to focus on breaking news, Variety reported.
News of the executive’s departure comes less than a week after network boss Roger Ailes announced his resignation from the network as he was embroiled in allegations of widespread sexual harassment, which sparked an internal probe into his conduct.

Let’s hope this starts a trend.
Someone has some issues lurking in the background that Daddy Roger is no longer around to cover up.
I’d best be on my way… before I get sued with roger. Watch them do their impression of the famed “Cirque de Ratz”… my favorite part is the “leaving the sinking ship” dance.
I can her old rupert, “leave quietly, leave now, here’s your parachute”
“…and Yours isn’t golden.”
…leaving the network to focus on breaking news…
Where exactly might he be doing that? Doesn’t one need a news organization to do that???
