Fox News host Megyn Kelly on Wednesday took aim at Donald Trump for only doing interviews from the cocoon of her colleague Sean Hannity’s show, where he knows he will be asked easy questions.

“Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days,” the Fox host said on “The Kelly File,” “which doesn’t exactly expand the tent.”

Hannity fired back on Twitter, accusing Kelly of “clearly” supporting Hillary Clinton.

While Trump has drastically curtailed his cable news interviews in the final weeks of his campaign, mostly limiting media availability to local outlets, he remains a frequent guest on Hannity’s show. The two have forged an unusually close relationship in this election cycle, with Hannity openly saying he supports Trump and can ask him softball questions because he’s “not a journalist” and even appearing in a campaign ad for the real estate mogul.

Trump, in turn, invoked Hannity’s name when pressed to answer for his prior support for the Iraq War during the first presidential debate. He told the press to “call Sean Hannity” to ask about private conversations they had in the lead-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq for proof that he opposed it, though his interviews from the time do not support this claim.

Kelly and Trump have not had the same easy rapport. Trump suggested that she had “blood coming out of her wherever” after she asked him about his derogatory comments about women during the first GOP primary debate, and Kelly has remained critical of his remarks about women, refusal to release his tax returns, and business practices that she said “screwed” his workers.

During her Wednesday night segment, she critiqued both Trump and Clinton for keeping themselves in “their own version of a presidential protection program” rather than expanding their reach to new voters ahead of Election Day. Kelly framed Clinton’s decision to do easy interviews on “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Steve Harvey Show,” where she reportedly received questions ahead of time, as a cop out.
