Fox News’ Megyn Kelly said she’s received death threats and worries about her children after her flame war with Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.
In a candid Sunday interview on “CBS Sunday Morning,” Kelly said Trump’s attacks, which date back to the first GOP presidential debate last August, have affected her family.
“It’s not that I’m worried someone’s actually going to come shoot me down,” she told Charlie Rose about receiving threats on her life. “But I do worry someone’s gonna try to hurt me in the presence of my children.”
Kelly also said she wished her colleague Bill O’Reilly would have “defended me more” in a January interview on his show when Trump again launched into attacking her.
“I would have defended him more,” she said. “He did the best he’s capable of doing.”

Megyn, Megyn, Megyn. Interesting that you haven’t been concerned with others being hurt when your network zeroes in on them and fans the fires of hatred.
No snark for this. You don’t have to be her fan-club president to see that nobody should have to endure death threats from a pack of scum just for reading the Scum King’s quotes back to him and asking if that sounded like a damn President. You just can’t run an advanced society that way.
ETA: Don’t take my arm, gently lead me to a quiet corner, and tell me you agree but Fox stirs up the rabble and Kelly shouldn’t be surprised and blah blah blah. I don’t need anyone to make me aware of Fox and Kelly’s shortcomings, ummkay? Don’t tell me, by implication, that death threats are wrong except when they’re maybe just a little bit right because we don’t like the people being threatened. Fuck that noise. If you think DEATH THREATS ARE ALWAYS WRONG and you further think the morality of death threats and the morality of Fox News are two unrelated matters then tell me you agree. That’s what you’re agreeing with if you want to tell me you agree.
“He did the best he’s capable of doing.”
OUCH! but true.
Boo-friggin’-hoo. Megyn Kelly is one of the biggest right-wing hatemongers on the planet. Let her clean up her own act.
She and her network have been fueling the fire of ignorant white resentment, and now she’s getting burned. I didn’t sense any realization on her part that she may bear some responsibility for her own position – not for questioning Drumpf, but for setting the stage for him and his followers.
