Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) expressed his disappointment at the announcement that White House counsel Don McGahn will leave this fall, calling the departure a “big loss” for the administration.
McGahn has been an instrumental figure in McConnell’s quiet work getting dozens of conservative judges appointed to the federal bench, and McConnell’s persuasion reportedly dissuaded him from leaving the Trump administration earlier.
If only there was someone in a position to keep the administration in line… Too bad the founding fathers never setup a system of checks and balances.
The only thing I’d like to see is the “checks and balances” in Yertle’s off-shore accounts.
Selling out your country has to be very profitable…
Now more than ever, Congress needs to pass a law that protect Mueller’s office from any interference from youknowwho.
Grassley didn’t see it coming either. Hmmmmnn.
Whatzamatta, Mitchie? Afraid the DOTUS might bring down your house of card sharps?
