Looking ahead at the 2016 presidential elections, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) on Tuesday endorsed a super PAC pushing Hillary Clinton to get into the race.
The Hill reported that McCaskill is the first lawmaker to endorse Ready for Hillary, the super PAC unofficially backing Clinton’s potential bid.
On the super PAC’s website, McCaskill announced her endorsement: “In 2008, I was an early supporter of then-Senator Obama’s campaign. I worked my heart out to elect him President. Now, as I look at 2016 and think about who is best to lead this country forward, I’m proud to announce that I am Ready for Hillary.”
