Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) announced on Wednesday that he lifted the state of emergency after unrest swept Baltimore following the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray.
At the request of Baltimore, Hogan signed an executive order on April 27 that declared emergency and allowed the National Guard into the city.
The governor tweeted the announcement from his personal account:
