Republican presidential candidate and Sen. Marco Rubio (FL) said very confidently during the CNN debate on Wednesday night that America is not a planet.
“America is a lot of things, the greatest country in the world, absolutely,” Rubio said, talking about climate change. “But America is not a planet.”
The Internet had some fun with Rubio’s statement. Here are some of the best Twitter responses:

Which is more of a planet: America or Pluto?

Oh very good, Marco but we’ve known that for some time now.
I almost feel sorry for that ignorant bastard.
Guess what was going through Marco’s mind during the debate?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19ZxJVnM5GsWhile his comment is absolutely mock-worthy, it’s also concerning given the context of his answer. Basically, he was saying that since the U.S. doesn’t put out 100% of the carbon emissions of this world, then it shouldn’t take any responsibility in cutting them. American exceptionalism right there.
Dan Quayle knew that Mars was a planet!
