Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said Sunday that he remains committed to passing the background check bill he worked out with Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) and that “absolutely” he plans to bring it to the Senate floor again.
“I truly believe that if we have time to sell the bill and if people will read the bill,” Manchin said on “Fox News Sunday,” that it can pass.
Manchin also said that Toomey remains committed to the bill.
“I was with Pat last night and Pat’s totally committed to this bill. And I believe that with all my heart. And we’re gonna work this bill,” Manchin said.
