Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) has told Democratic leaders that he’s relocating his office from the state house after a dispute over — of all things — a flat screen television, the Portland Press Herald.

The television in question is situated outside LePage’s office and it displays messages that chide lawmakers for failing to pass a budget and a bill that will pay off the state’s debt to hospitals.

“What’s the hold up?” one message reads.

Lawmakers have cried foul at the television, arguing that it’s positioned in a space that belongs to the whole legislature.  After meeting with the governor to request that he seek formal permission to keep the television in its current location, Democrats said that LePage told them he will be leaving the office on July 1.
