A 10-year-old boy was in the hospital in Slidell, La. on Sunday night, being treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wound to one of his hands, according to The New Orleans Times-Picayune.
The Times-Picayune, citing police radio reports, wrote that the boy was hurt after the gun went off accidentally inside a car traveling on an interstate, and that the boy’s grandmother had then tossed the gun from the vehicle. Those details were not confirmed by the police.
