Late update: Lou Dobbs tweeted an apology to Leeds, saying “My Retweet,My Mistake,My Apology” and linking to a Politico article about the incident.

Original story below:

Fox Business Anchor Lou Dobbs on Thursday morning retweeted a Twitter user who purported to share the phone number and address of one of the women who alleged in the New York Times that Donald Trump groped her without permission.

Dobbs shared a tweet from Michael Delauzon that blared “BREAKING: DETAILS EMERGE SHOWING LATEST TRUMP ACCUSER Tied To Clinton Foundation.”

“This is the Dirtiest Campaign in our History: #MAGA #TrumpPence16 #AmericaFirst,” Dobbs wrote.

Delauzon’s tweet, which has since been deleted, shared what appeared to be personal contact information for Jessica Leeds, 74, who told the Times that Trump groped her while they sat next to each other in first class on a flight in the early ‘80s. TPM has redacted the purported personal information:

While the article Delauzon’s tweet linked to claims that Leeds shared a phone number with the Clinton Foundation, the two phone numbers differed by several digits.

  1. At least Dobbs removed any and all pretense that he’s anything other than a deplorable human being.

I didn’t know he was still alive.

  3. Isn’t Dobbs a member of the elite? Why would he help Drumpf?

  4. Wow, that was my exact comment, verbatim.
    FOX employs zombies, I guess.

  5. So not only did Dobbs use his position of power to make a woman a target for speaking out but he might have set the wrong woman up to be hurt?

    Scum.

And men like Dobbs wonder why women don’t speak out when they are assaulted.
