Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) may actually dislike Donald Trump more than Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).
At least that’s how it sounded when Graham suggested as Super Tuesday results rolled in that the Republican Party should rally around Cruz to take down the real estate mogul.
“You know Ted Cruz is not my favorite by any means,” Graham said in an interview with CBS News. “But we may be in a position where we have to rally around Ted Cruz as the only way to stop Donald Trump, and I’m not so sure that would work.”
Cruz beat out Trump in Texas and Oklahoma, while Trump clinched Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee.
Graham had been scathingly critical of Cruz when he said last week that if Cruz were killed on the Senate floor, “nobody would convict you.” He clarified on Tuesday that was just a joke.
“I don’t wish him ill,” Graham told CBS News. “I was making a joke about Ted.”
Graham suspended his own bid for the White House last year and endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), who later dropped out after a disappointing showing in the South Carolina primary.

“You know Ted Cruz is not my favorite by any means, bless his heart…”
FIFY
So, which one has Lindsey chosen, being shot or poisoned?
“So if someone put a gun to your head and made you choose Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, what would you choose?”
-“To be shot.”
Cleopatra and the asp would be Lindsey’s favorite method. Very dramatic.
“I was making a joke about Ted…”
AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Man, I love watching these guys trying to swallow their loathing for one candidate to combat their pants-shitting terror of the other.
