Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was so unhappy with Obamacare on Monday, he seemed to forget it was a law passed by Congress.
“This bill sucks,” he told Fox News’ Bill Hemmer. “This bill sucks, it really does.”
Insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act, which the Supreme Court upheld as constitutional last year, are set to open Oct. 1., even though government officials are reportedly scrambling to iron out glitches before the system launches.
Graham predicted the law would “collapse economically,” offering Republicans a chance to post major gains and perhaps retake the Senate and White House come 2016.
“It is really an albatross around our Democratic friends,” he said. “And they will slowly but surely if we don’t screw this thing up come to us because it is more than they can carry in the election cycle in 2014 and 2016.”
