Larry Wilmore stuck up for First Lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday night after a Fox News contributor said that the President’s wife got into Princeton University because of affirmative action.
Fox guest Angela McGlowan, who is black, offered up her theory on Tuesday’s edition of “Fox & Friends” while critcizing Obama’s “racially charged” commencement speech at Tuskegee University.
“Why didn’t the first lady share that the reason she got into Princeton was probably because of affirmative action?” she said. McGlowan added that Obama probably got her job at a presitgious law firm for the same reason.
“Whoa, slow your roll, Fox’s convenient black friend!” Wilmore said.
Wilmore proposed a more accurate portrait of affirmative action for a high-profile American leader.
“When a coke-snorting, alcohol-guzzling son of a CIA director DUI’s his way into Yale and ultimately into the Oval Office because his daddy was in both places — that’s affirmative action,” he said.
The crowd roared at the not-so-veiled reference to President George W. Bush.
Watch the clip:
The FoxNews talking heads simply can’t get over the fact that both Barack and Michelle Obama are considerably smarter than any of them. You don’t need to look any further to understand a lot of the vitriol.
Love the remark about GW Bush - absolutely on target.
The reason she ‘probably’ got into Yale…
So you haven’t seen her test scores, grades, admission package and know nothing about her admission to law school, but it’s acceptable to say ‘she probably got in because of affirmative action’??
More affirmative action:
Go Michelle!! One of the nation’s great `Firsty’ ladies. And how about a first reference to McGlowan? If you’re going to write about this dolt, at least give us her name.
