Because Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump seemed perplexed by the definition of the word “face,” host Larry Wilmore helped out the celebrity tycoon on Monday night’s “The Nightly Show” by defining the apparently confusing words.

In a Rolling Stone cover story, Trump said fellow Republican candidate and former technology executive Carly Fiorina would never be president because of her face.

“When your face looks like what would happen if Owen Wilson knocked up a bean bag chair, you do not get to go around dispensing opinions on faces,” Wilmore said.

Trump quickly went on a cable-news blitz to assure the public he did not mean Fiorina’s face but rather her personality. (Even the Rolling Stone article’s author dispelled this.) But Wilmore didn’t buy the interchangeable definition.

“The reason we have different words is they mean different things,” Wilmore said. “What you can’t do is scream ‘Nice boobs!’ and then after she slaps you say, ‘I was talking about your personality.’ “

Maybe Trump should try Balderdash.
