The LA Times endorsed President Obama Sunday, citing his “steady leadership” and the “passage of a historic health care reform law.”

The Houston Chronicle is back in the Republican fold, endorsing Mitt Romney for president Sunday after breaking a “44-year string of endorsing Republican candidates for president” when they endorsed Obama in 2008.

The Chronicle cited energy and the space program as its major reasons to support Romney — two top issues in the Houston area in particular and Texas overall.
