Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant on Thursday joined the chorus of voices to speak out against the behavior of fired Rutgers men’s basketball coach Mike Rice.

Bryant expressed his disapproval with a pair of tweets:

A video showing Rice directing homophobic slurs and hurling basketballs at his players drew a firestorm of public criticism, with the likes of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James and New Jersery Gov. Chris Christie (R) condemning the behavior. Christie applauded the university for firing Rice.
