Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Ohio Gov. John Kasich asked real estate mogul Donald Trump for campaign donations in the middle of the Republican presidential debate Thursday night.
“You’re welcome to give me a check, Donald, if you would like,” Huckabee said.
Kasich requested funds too.
“I hope you will give to me,” he said.
Trump wasn’t opposed, but said he thinks the political donation system is broken.
“Sounds good to me, Governor,” Trump said. “I will tell you that our system is broken. I gave to many people before this. Before two months ago I was a businessman. When they call, I give. And you know what, when I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them. They are there for me. That’s a broken system.”
The Kasich campaign stood by their candidate’s request.

Oh hell.
Keep feeding him, please keep feeding him…
Does the stage include a replica of the central raised median at a major city intersection?
Isn’t prostitution illegal?

Won’t disagree with a word of what Trump just said. That is a fundamentally broken and corrupt system. Of course, he is effectively admitting to bribing politicians, but you know, whatever.
I cannot believe that Rand Paul has been begging Donald Trump for money. I thought he was independently wealthy and had made plenty of money as an ophthalmologist. Donald Trump put him in his place for piping up uninvited. Bret Baier shut that down pretty quickly at Roger Ailes behest.
