Rapper and self-described genius Kanye West said Monday that he feels “used” by President Barack Obama.
For that reason, West said he won’t be name-dropping Obama anymore.
“I’m not gonna mention him no more, I’m past that,” West said during an interview with a Philadelphia radio station. “That’s out my thoughts. That’s lowering my priority of thinking at this point.”
The two have a history. After West interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, the President called the rapper a “jackass.”
West said that flap was evidence that Obama “used” him to “distract people from everything that’s going on.”
He also said late last month that his fiancé, Kim Kardashian, is more influential in the world of fashion than First Lady Michelle Obama.
“Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day,” West said.
