Kanye West: Obama Has Trouble Because He Isn’t As Well Connected As Jews

The rapper Kanye West said publicly this week that President Obama has been limited in his presidency because black people don’t have the same “level of connections” as Jews and “oil people.” 

“Man, let me tell you something about George Bush and oil money and Obama and no money,” West said in an interview with New York City’s 105.1 FM that was surfaced Friday by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. “People want to say Obama can’t make these moves or he’s not executing. That’s because he ain’t got those connections. Black people don’t have the same level of connections as Jewish people. Black people don’t have the same connection as oil people.”

West made the comments while speaking on 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club program. A short clip from the interview was uploaded to YouTube. Watch it here:
