White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest took a jab Monday at the doctor for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump who penned a letter declaring the billionaire businessman would be the “healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

A reporter asked Earnest during his daily media briefing if Trump was healthier than President Obama.

“Is the suggestion that Mr. Trump’s doctors conducted a thorough medical examination of President Jefferson and President Adams?” Earnest said. “That’s a lot of work — that’s a lot of homework to do — 44 Presidents to take a look at.”

The letter released on Trump’s medical condition read: “If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

“From here, I would not call into question the medical credentials of somebody who decides they are ready to conduct a medical examination of Mr. Trump,” Earnest continued. “That must have been a pretty interesting appointment.”
