Jon Stewart’s jaw dropped on Monday night when he heard that President Barack Obama failed to attend, or send anyone to, a rally for free speech in Paris following the deadly attacks on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The host of “The Daily Show” couldn’t understand how the President skipped the rally given “how many world leaders he could’ve bowed down to and apologized to.”

“How could the U.S. not be there when representatives from such beacons of freedom and lack of censorship as journalist-punishing Russia was there?” he asked.

“Journalist-jailing Turkey was there!” he continued. “Egypt, ’nuff said! Palestinian cartoonist-jailing Israel was there!”

Stewart saved special praise for “our greatest ally” Saudi Arabia.

“A little out of breath, having just days ago flogged a blogger,” he noted, referencing the liberal journalist who on Friday was publicly lashed by that country’s ultra-conservative religious government.

    Yep.

  2. I wonder how much it cost CNN to send their top News-Readers to France to interview each other and bad mouth PBO on foreign soil.

Why didn’t Stewart mention hypocrite Bibi who showed up after being asked not to come. Bibi is responsible for the death of 17 journalists and thousands of people including children last summer in Gaza

  3. Jon just loves him some Abbas.

  4. I’m wondering why it is that none of the American right showed up. Where was Gramps McCain with his patented “We are all (insert country)” act? Or Cruz, or Rubio, or Mittens? Or for that matter Sen. Graham who excoriated BHO for not being in Paris. None of them showed up (shakes head).
