Jon Stewart on Monday didn’t spare anyone at Fox News in a rant against the channel’s reaction to the killings in Charleston, S.C. on Wednesday and its hosts’ disgust at liberals exploiting a tragedy to “advance your narrative.”
“They are amazing at what they do,” the host of “The Daily Show” began.
“Remind me what happened this past December this year when two New York City cops were tragically killed during a time when people were protesting police shootings against unarmed black men?”
“Talk to me about the restraint Fox used in not advancing their narrative,” Stewart said.
Roll a montage of Fox hosts Sean Hannity, Andrea Tantaros, Jeanine Pirro, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and guests Bernie Kerik, Rich Lowry and Rudy Giuliani accusing President Obama and Mayor Bill De Blasio of having, in Kerik’s words, “blood on their hands.”
“So you used — no restraint,” Stewart said slowly.

Preaching to the choir here Mr Stewart.
I feel bad for Jordan and Jessica. Their characters have become entirely “idiot racist white guy” and “black woman angry at idiot racist white guy”.
One of the main streets in downtown Charleston is Market Street. That’s not where they had a farmer’s market, that’s where the slave market was. The main building is still standing and has been turned into a museum.
Hypocrisy, glaring inconsistencies, obvious lies, coded racism, bigotry, homophobia…etc…All are hallmarks of FOX, and that atmosphere exists because it appeals to, it defines, their devoted demographic. It is the worst kind of masquerading propaganda machine, an outlet for the ignorant, hate filled and fearful members of the Corporate Whore Republican Party, the Con Right Wingnuttery and the TEAlibangelicals; they are a legion of pigs who are easily led and are fiercely loyal to the trough where they are fed. That, of course, translates to dollars for FOX, a corporate creature that cares not at all the damage to the fabric of this society it encourages.

When Jon Stewart leaves his post, America is going to lose one very, very effective spokesperson calling out the hypocrisy that surrounds us.
