Jon Stewart needed some cheering up on Tuesday night after reviewing the field of Republican presidential hopefuls for 2016.
“The election is going to be such a drag,” the host of “The Daily Show” said with a sigh, slumped over his desk.
Stewart was unmoved by recent news of Mitt Romney, whom he called a “nomination hog,” considering another run and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie testing the waters.
“If only there was someone special,” Stewart said. “A candidate whose mere consideration of running would fill me with a joy bordering on giddiness.”
Cut to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) wondering aloud on NBC’s “Meet The Press” whether “a guy like Lindsey Graham has a viable path” to the presidency.
Stewart’s face contorted with ecstasy. “Thank you Jesus,” he whispered, before a military band emerged from backstage to help celebrate the news.
“Wait—Lindsey Graham, why would you think it’s okay for you to run for president?” he said.
“Oh right ’cause you’re delusional,” Stewart said in a Southern drawl, and continued dancing to the band.

Can’t wait for the bumper sticker… Vote for Graham or “we’re all gonna die.”
It is easy to imagine all the other Republican Hopefuls staffs compiling large catalogues of Chicken Lindsey’s “The Sky is Falling” -rants, while they themselves, in front of a mirror, are rehearsing replies to “What do you thint about Lindsey Graham as president”-questions along the line of ‘Well, personally I think we need a strong, coolheaded and courageous leader’ (smirk). He is simply to easy to take down, having made a fool of himself on Fox News…
How crushed Stewart must have been to learn that Rob Portman R-OH gave a non-running announcement recently.
