A cousin of John Roberts, Jean Podrasky, who is a lesbian, will attend the Supreme Court’s hearing on California’s Proposition 8 ban on gay marriage, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday. Podrasky’s partner, sister and niece will attend Tuesday’s proceedings.
Podrasky told the LA Times she expects Roberts “will go in a good direction” on the case:
“He is a smart man,” she said. “He is a good man. I believe he sees where the tide is going. I do trust him. I absolutely trust that he will go in a good direction.”
