Former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) has announced plans to launch a super PAC in response to Karl Rove’s new group, the Conservative Victory Project, a super PAC set on backing disciplined Republican candidates to win back a majority in the Senate.

As the Huffington Post pointed out, the tea party darling on Tuesday condemned Rove’s new group in a Facebook post. “Karl Rove is starting a super PAC to make sure Tea Party and conservative candidates don’t win Republican primaries in 2014. Hmm … if we had listened to Karl Rove in 2010, there would be no Sen. Marco Rubio. Rove backed Charlie Crist, who was last seen raving about President Obama at the Democrat National Convention last year,” Walsh wrote.

Walsh added that if conservatives listened to rove in 2010, there would be no Rep. Joe Walsh. “Rove thought openly Tea Party candidates like Walsh couldn’t win,” he wrote.
