Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough has had enough with retired neurosurgeon and Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson’s comments on Muslims.
Scarborough tore into Carson during Tuesday’s episode of Morning Joe:
Why don’t you join up for the National Guard today and prove you’re as much as an American as these Muslim Americans who are fighting and dying for our country every day and then you cast your aspersions. What are you? What are you? A Pharisee? Are you a judge of one on who’s a good American? Hey, Ben, I’ve got a memo for you: There’s well over a billion Muslims in the world. We all agree. We don’t want a terrorist in the White House. Being a terrorist and being a Muslim are not even close to being synonymous.
Scarborough continued, connecting Carson’s Islamophobic comments to other bigoted comments within the Republican party:
There’s a sickness. You have Ben Carson going after Muslims. You have Ann Coulter going after Jews. It’s like the far-right of our party is falling apart and tattering. While a lot of real hardcore, rock-rib conservatives like Ted Cruz are saying, ‘What’s happening? We like Jews! We love Israel! We don’t believe in religious tests!’ “

This is the end result of the Nixon / Reagan “Southern Strategy.” Too late, Moanin’ Ho. Your party sought these people out. Not our fault you can’t control them any longer.
Scarborough continued: “That’s my job!!”
Old white yankees love this guy. My mom and her pals think he’s just the best. No idea why, Carson, of all these people gets the seal of approval from pleasant kindly seniors. Maybe he’s a good stool softener. Dunno.
This guy is bad news. Maybe a nice man in some ways but epistomologically closed off and quite possibly deranged.

“By believing we are the product of random acts, we eliminate morality and the basis of ethical behavior.”…“For if there is no such thing as moral authority, you can do anything you want,” - Typical fundamentalist BS.
