Vice President Joe Biden says there’s still a chance that he could decide to run for president in 2016, potentially pitting him against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is also still undecided.

“Yes, there is a chance,” Biden said Wednesday on Good Morning America. “But I haven’t made my mind up about that. We’ve got a lot of work to do between now and then. There’s plenty of time.”

He also said he didn’t need to decide whether he would run for president or not until the summer of 2015.

Biden has regularly floated possibly running for president in 2016, even if that means running against Clinton, often the frontrunner in polling of the potential Democratic field. In the same interview Biden described Clinton as someone who’s a “really competent, capable person and friend.”
