Vice President Joe Biden joked Thursday at the National Urban League conference that he wished he had a child who grew up to be a Republican.

“I should have one Republican kid who’d grow up to make money,” Biden said, according to a clip of his speech from Cincinnati NBC affiliate WLWT. “You know, so when they put me in a home, I get a window with a view. You know what I mean?”

Biden quickly pointed out that his daughter is a social worker and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

“[She] runs an at risk program, at risk youth program for kids getting out of prison and young men getting out of prison” Biden said.

  1. I’m sure the Veep knows this, but there is absolutely no evidence that Republicans are any better at making money than Democrats. Warren Buffett, for one, would beg to differ.

  2. It’s a joke. Or as that big chicken says, I say I say I say I say that’s humor, son!

  3. I love him, too, but I’m really hoping that, come 2016, he decides it’s time for a nice long rest.

  4. “You know, so when they put me in a home, I get a window with a view. You know what I mean?”

I get where he’s going with this, but I see a flaw in the logic. The Republican would likely just put him in with a sack of kittens and throw them from the bridge into the river. Because compassion.
