Funny story. Jesse Watters, the Fox News reporter routinely deployed by Bill O’Reilly to ambush the host’s enemies, was once tricked into believing that he was dating — gasp — a liberal.
In a rollicking discussion on the romantic compatibility of liberals and conservatives during Monday’s edition of “Outnumbered,” Watters recalled a two-week stretch when his wife had convinced him that she voted for President Obama. He reacted pretty much the way you’d expect.
“When I was dating my wife, we were very simpatico politically,” Watters said. “And then all of a sudden, after 2012, she told me she voted for Obama. And I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me?'”
She was kidding.
“She got me good,” Watters said.
Shortly before he recounted his wife’s prank, Watters offered his take on the subject of dating between those with different political points of view.
“I think the rule of thumb for guys: you can be some crazy tea party, right-wing conservative, but if the girl’s a communist and she’s hot, you’re in,” he told the four women on the panel. “I mean, it doesn’t matter as long as she’s hot.”
The shock and horror over his wife’s phony claim is all the more hilarious given reports that Watters donated $500 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2012.

But my Father-in Law checked the Stepford box.
Sorry, no thoughtful liberal woman is going to date a Fox News cretin.
I can’t imagine falling in love with a republican, even a moderate one.
It’s okay as long as she’s hot…wow.
Dude not very bright, is he? But then again, that is why he is employed by Fox.
