Melissa Benoist, the star of the CBS show “Supergirl,” said Monday that she didn’t know what to think about Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s comment that he thought she “looked pretty hot.”
Bush gave the remark last week when he was struggling to say what his favorite Marvel superhero was. He said he had seen a commercial for the new CBS show while he was working out.
“She looked kind of … she looked pretty hot,” Bush said. “I don’t know which channel it’s on, but I’m looking forward to that.”
Benoist was asked about Bush’s statement during an appearance on CBS’ “This Morning.”
“I definitely — I heard about it, but you know I don’t know what to think about it,” Benoist said, laughing. “I’m glad he’s excited to watch the show.”
