Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush reiterated Thursday that he believes his brother “kept us safe” as President.
The line drew major applause when he said it on Wednesday night during the GOP presidential debate at the Reagan library in California.
“You know what? As it relates to my brother, there is one thing I know for sure, he kept us safe,” Bush said during the debate.
On Thursday, he took to Twitter to push the line again, this time including a photo of his brother standing atop the rubble of the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terror attacks. Almost 3,000 people were killed as a result of the attacks during his brother’s first term as President.

That picture. Remind me, just what is it he’s standing on again?
When you use a picture of the man in the White House standing on the rubble of the building that he was supposed to “keep safe” then you have already lost.
The disconnect is astounding.
W ignored terrorist threats and intelligence from the day he took office. He was negligent and got away with it.
But keep defending him, Jebya. It’s the final nail in your aspirational coffin.
LIBturds WERE in CHArge OF Congress. IT was TheIR fauLT and THEY DOn’t CARE anYway about KEEPING America SAFE LIKE JEB!'s brother Does.
