Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) on Thursday joked about his mother’s disciplinary style during a campaign event in New Hampshire.
He said that former First Lady Barbara Bush is “not as great as everybody thinks she is,” according to Politico.
“I jokingly say that when we were growing up in Midland, in Houston, that mom was fortunate not to have a child-abuse hotline available,” Bush told the crowd, according to Politico.
Bush added that “the discipline of learning right and wrong was her doing.”
The former Florida governor praised his father, former President George H.W. Bush as the “perfect, idyllic man” before circling back to his mother.
“But she was the one that taught us right and wrong, I can promise you that. And it’s worked out pretty good,” he said, according to Politico. “All the mistakes that I’ve made are my own doing, I can tell you that.”
“All the mistakes that I’ve made are my own doing, I can tell you that.”
Comparing that to his dimwit brother, all of who’s mistakes were President Obama’s or Bill & Hillary’s fault.
She must have beat all that was good out of both sons.
Yes, while Papa Bush was out banging all the women, Mama Bush was home, smoking and drinking, and handing out the discipline. Is it any wonder the kids were f’d-up? Tragically, we all have to suffer.
So he says father was hands off parent and his mother beat him. Traditional Family Values? Any good stories about putting the dog in a crate on the roof of the car? Maybe a child abuse hotline would have been a good thing, then he wouldn’t be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome to this day. You aren’t recalling fond memories JEB! You are recalling incidents of child abuse and neglect. Such happy times,
Always knew that Babs had a lot to answer for. She used tot give me the creeps wen she was in the White House.
