Ivanka Trump said Wednesday that she was “proud” of her father, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, for running, but that it was “more complicated.”

Ivanka spoke at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, according to Politico.

Ivanka was put in the headlines for comments The Donald made during the course of his campaign about her appearance.

At the summit, according to Politico, she was asked whether she was happy he was running.

“I’m incredibly proud of him, it’s an incredibly difficult thing to do,” she responded, according to the publication. “As a citizen, I love what he’s doing. As a daughter, it’s obviously more complicated.”

“It’s sort of regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum. I think everybody can appreciate the fact that he’s creating dialogue,” she said, as quoted by Politico.
