Colorado’s decision, announced this weekend, to move the date of its caucuses up to just one day after Iowa’s hasn’t prompted any immediate change from the state—yet.

“The four sanctioned early states have been very clear that we’ll move together if necessary to ensure integrity of order as outlined in RNC rules,” Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Matt Strawn told The Des Moines Register on Monday. “I remain cautiously optimistic that we can avoid having Iowans caucus while simultaneously wrapping Christmas presents.

The RNC has set a deadline of this Saturday for states to schedule their caucuses or primaries.
