The Iowa Republican Party is applying heavy pressure on its congressional delegation to vote against a resolution that would authorize the use of military force in Syria.

In a petition on its website, the state GOP is urging supporters to sign their names to call on Reps. Steve Latham (R-IA), Steve King (R-IA) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) to vote against the resolution.

“Nothing good can come of getting America involved in this civil war,” the petition reads. “We respectfully implore you to put a stop to this administration’s dangerous plans by voting ‘No’ on any authorization of military action in Syria.”

Grassley and King are both currently undecided on the resolution, while Latham has said that he opposes military intervention in Syria. TPM is tracking where each member of Congress stands on the Syria resolution.
