The debate between Wisconsin GOP Senate candidate Tommy Thompson and Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin on Thursday night was largely a polite hour of back and forth on the economy, health care, and foreign policy.
When Baldwin interrupted Thompson at one point, however, the Republican called her “Joe Biden,” which prompted audible boos from the crowd.
“If you want to interrupt me, Joe Biden,” Thompson said, “Let me finish!”
Thompson was likely referring to Vice President Joe Biden’s debate performance last week in which he often talked over Mitt Romney’s running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan.
