How thrilled are Republicans by their blowout victory on Tuesday night?

The House GOP’s campaign chief thinks they may be in for a 100-year majority.

“Barack Obama’s agenda was on the ballot. There was a referendum. It’s historic in its nature. We’re back to a majority as big as any of us have seen in our lifetimes. It may be a hundred-year majority,” National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Greg Walden (OR) told reporters at a Capitol Hill press conference on Wednesday morning.

Votes are still being counted, but House Republicans are projected to pick up between 13 and 19 seats when the dust settles, according to the Cook Political Report.

A gain of 13 seats gives Republicans their largest House majority since 1928.
