An Arizona woman got three and a half years in prison on Thursday after she ran over her husband with an SUV when she found out he hadn’t voted in the 2012 presidential election, AZ Central reported.

Holly Nicole Solomon, 31, ran over her husband in November 2012 when, angry that President Obama had been re-elected, she found out her husband hadn’t voted, according to the news site.

Solomon reportedly chased her husband through a parking lot with her Jeep and circled him as he tried to hide behind a light pole. When he tried to run away, she hit him with her car, AZ Central reported.

Solomon’s husband survived the incident but reportedly suffered a fractured pelvis and had a difficult time recovering from both the physical and emotional wounds.

Solomon was reportedly six months pregnant at the time.

Solomon, now divorced from her husband, told police she was only trying to scare her husband when she accidentally stepped on the accelerator and hit him.
