A 27-year-old man has been charged for allegedly leaving a hoax explosive device outside of a mosque last week in a D.C. suburb, a NBC affiliate reported Monday.
Chester H. Gore was charged with using a hoax explosive Thursday at the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia. He was also charged with possessing and using illegal fireworks, and entering property with the intention of causing damage based on religious beliefs, according to the report.
The incident took place at about 3 a.m. and caused about $200 worth of damage to the property’s fence, according to a Patch report.
Gore is being held at the Fairfax County jail without bond, according to the NBC affiliate.
Maybe about 10-20 years in prison for terroristic threats and a hate crime will change his mind about who his enemies really are.

What’s really astonishing is the location - Falls Church. I used to live in the VA suburbs of D.C., and “diverse” barely begins to describe the area. Just in my little townhouse cluster, we had at least one or two of everything. And everyone got along very nicely, thank you. When we spotted 5-year-old Karim teaching his little Protestant, Catholic, and Mormon playmates how to pray to Mecca, everyone got a huge laugh out of it.
This kind of nutjob nativist must think he’s under assault every minute of every day in that neck of the woods.
