The win helps to solidify Clinton’s dominance in the South where Sanders has struggled to gain traction. The win also is a positive sign for Clinton as she seeks to broaden her appeal with Latino voters.
Former President Bill Clinton had campaigned for Hillary Clinton in recent days around Texas, with a message centered around restoring voting rights in the state. Texas will allocate more delegates on Tuesday night than any other state on Super Tuesday.
