Hillary Clinton Projected To Win The Democratic Primary In Connecticut

In a down-to-the-wire vote over two hours after polls closed, the Associated Press and MSNBC projected Hillary Clinton the winner of Connecticut’s Democratic primary on Tuesday night.

The former secretary of state also won in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)’s scored a win in Rhode Island.

The former of secretary of state received early endorsements from the Constitution State’s Democratic establishment, including Gov. Dannel Malloy and Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy. Sanders, meanwhile, earned endorsements from the Connecticut Working Family Party and progressive state lawmakers.

There are 70 delegates up for grabs in the state, which are allocated proportionally.
