In a down-to-the-wire vote over two hours after polls closed, the Associated Press and MSNBC projected Hillary Clinton the winner of Connecticut’s Democratic primary on Tuesday night.

The former secretary of state also won in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)’s scored a win in Rhode Island.

The former of secretary of state received early endorsements from the Constitution State’s Democratic establishment, including Gov. Dannel Malloy and Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy. Sanders, meanwhile, earned endorsements from the Connecticut Working Family Party and progressive state lawmakers.

There are 70 delegates up for grabs in the state, which are allocated proportionally.

  1. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this means Hillary Clinton has won everywhere she’s lived, that’s voted thus far.

    Illinois where she was born.
Massachusetts where she went to college.
Connecticut where she went to law school.
Arkansas where she lived with Bill.
New York where she was Senator and lives now.

And most probably she will handily win Washington DC when they vote last on June 14th.

  2. No wonder Bernie wants “open” primaries. He doesn’t seem to be capable of winning a closed one.

As Hillary continues to rack up wins and starts to look inevitable, Bernie may start to lose the media “oxygen” that every campaign needs to get its message across. He may need to take that into account.

  4. That’s-a four!! Time for me to get into my jammies, eat a macaroon or two and head to bed. Night all. See ya on the flipside…
