After attacks that killed more than 100 people Friday in Paris, Hillary Clinton urged America to stand with the French “to wage and win the struggle against terrorism and violent extremism.”
Clinton’s full statement:
“All our prayers are with the people of France tonight. We must stand side-by-side every step of the way with France and our allies around the world to wage and win the struggle against terrorism and violent extremism. Even in this darkest night, Paris remains the City of Light. No terrorist attack will ever dim the spirit of the French people or our common commitment to the democratic values we share.”
Classy
Yes. Such an eloquent statement.
I saw on the live feed a group of people with a big electronic sign which said, “WE ARE NOT AFRAID.”
Heartening that was.
in contrast to the words of Ben Carson and Jeb Bush . . . .
Hillary understands. Paris is to cities what Beethoven’s symphonies or Ming vases are—an example of what humans can achieve. Terrorism is the opposite. But the vast majority rejects and despises that insanity. Paris and what it represents will remain when their stupidity and cruelty are forgotten.
