Hillary Clinton on Wednesday told members of Congress who are avoiding their constituents that if they can’t stand the heat, they should “get out of the…Congress.”
Clinton linked to an opinion piece by the editorial board of the Kansas City Star addressing senators and representatives who are holding fewer town halls in order to avoid irate constituents.
“Members of Congress signed up for this when they ran for office. They were elected to serve,” the paper’s editorial board wrote. “Representing the people means showing up, even when the exchange may not be among friends.”

Constituents and protesters gathered at public events and outside local appearances by Republican lawmakers. Members of Congress who are home in their districts for the week during the congressional recess faced large crowds and vocal criticism at town halls on Tuesday.
Twatterstorn coming from that man tonight! He still can’t accept that Hillary got more popular votes.
‘Cause it’s just gonna get hotter…
Again…I guess these kids have forgotten who put them in office…
The Republicans are finding that gerrymandering and paper victories are no substitute for popular support.
