A brief flurry of 2016 speculation erupted on Tuesday afternoon when Hollywood Life reported that Hillary Clinton had rented office space near Times Square that would serve as her campaign headquarters for 2016. But the truth is a little less interesting, according to a Clinton spokesman. The rented space is just new digs for her current personal staff.

“Plan was for the personal office to move to NYC,” Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told TPM in an email. “We did that last week.”

Clinton currently employs less than a dozen people on her personal staff. As MSNBC’s Alex Seitz-Wald noted, the new space — which includes nine offices and 14 workstations, per Hollywood LIfe — would allow for a little expansion.

The lease is for two years, Hollywood Life reported.
