Amid the chaos of two simultaneous police raids that reportedly ended in the deaths of three hostage-takers in France, the whereabouts of the suspected female accomplice of one gunman in Paris was still a mystery.
Earlier Friday, police had named Hayat Boumeddiene, 26, as one of the suspects in the fatal shooting of a female police officer Thursday in the Paris suburb of Montrouge. She was identified as the girlfriend of Amedy Coulibaly, 32, who was also a suspect in that shooting and who took hostages Friday at a kosher supermarket in Paris.
After the raid ended in Coulibaly’s death, French police were still looking for any sign of Boumeddiene, according to the FBI:

It’s unclear whether Boumeddiene was with Coulibaly at the kosher shop at any point during the hostage situation.
Alliance Police Union spokesman Pascal Disand told CNN that Boumeddiene was present in the kosher shop and escaped as some hostages fled. Authorities and other news outlets have not confirmed that Boumeddiene was present.
