Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., faces reporters at the Capitol after bipartisan Senate opposition blocked swift confirmation for President Barack Obama's choice to head the Justice Department's Civil Rights division, in Washington, Wednesday, March 5, 2014. The vote against advancing Debo Adegbile toward confirmation was 47-52, short of the majority needed under new procedures Democrats put in place earlier this year to overcome Republican stalling tactics. In this case, all 44 voting Republicans and eight Democrats lined up to block confirmation, leaving the nomination is grave jeopardy. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite) MORE LESS

Senate Democratic leaders really want to run against the Koch brothers in the 2014 mid-term elections.

A recent fundraising letter penned by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), seeking donations for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, provides a glimpse into how the party will vilify the billionaire oil tycoons in their battle to maintain control of the Senate.

The letter below went out to 800,000 prospective donors in the first week of March, a Democratic source said. A handwritten note in red ink at the top reads, “Without your support, [the Koch brothers will] succeed in kicking Democrats out of the Senate majority this fall.”
