A grieving Afghan man tells NPR of the devastating loss he suffered when an American soldier allegedly killed 16 civilians, nine of them children. Muhammad Wazir lost his mother, his wife, a sister-in-law, a brother, a nephew, his four daughters and two of his sons in the shooting.
“Like anyone, I wanted my children to be doctors, engineers — important people. All my dreams are buried under a pile of dust now,” Wazir told NPR.
